No. The stainless steel parts come apart for an easy rinse. We recommend a quick clean every 1-2 weeks and replacing the filter regularly.

Paw-Trol started with a simple frustration. We noticed that our pets would walk past a full water bowl, and the plastic fountains we tried kept getting slimy, noisy, or broken within months.
So we went looking for something better: a stainless steel fountain that keeps water moving, filtered, and inviting, and is easy to clean.
Who we serve: busy cat and dog owners who want their pets drinking fresh water, even when they're at work all day.
What we solve: stale bowls, slimy plastic, and constant refills.
Why we exist: pets can't tell us when their water is stale. We think every pet deserves clean, flowing water, and every owner deserves one less thing to worry about.
